अब अस्तित्व में नहीं; पूरी तरह से समाप्त हो चुका, कोई जीवित सदस्य शेष नहीं। प्रजातियों, भाषाओं या सक्रिय न रहे ज्वालामुखियों के लिए प्रयोग।

Usage Notes (Hindi)

मुख्य अंतर: "endangered" = खतरे में, "extinct" = हमेशा के लिए समाप्त। ज्वालामुखियों पर भी लागू ("extinct volcano" = फिर कभी नहीं फटेगा)। बोलचाल में पुरानी चीज़ों के लिए भी।
