'সম্পূর্ণ নিধন' সাধারণত খুব গম্ভীর বিষয়ের জন্য ব্যবহৃত হয়, যেমন 'ইঁদুরের সম্পূর্ণ নিধন' বা 'একটি জনগোষ্ঠীর সম্পূর্ণ নিধন'। 'Elimination' বা 'removal' তুলনামূলক হালকা শব্দ।
