何かを相手に渡して、その代わりに別のものを受け取ること。情報や物、 お金などを双方でやり取りするときによく使います。

Usage Notes (Japanese)

『for』と一緒に使うことが多いです（例：'exchanging gifts for birthdays'）。『exchanging information』のようにも使います。『changing』（変える）とは異なり、必ずお互いにやり取りがあります。
