El planeta en el que vivimos, o el suelo/superficie donde crecen las plantas. Puede significar el mundo entero o la tierra como material.

'Earth' (mayúscula) es el planeta; 'earth' (minúscula) suele ser suelo o tierra. 'Land' en inglés suele referirse a propiedad, no a 'earth'. Expresiones comunes: 'on Earth' (en la Tierra), 'surface of the Earth' (superficie de la Tierra), 'dig the earth' (cavar la tierra).
