Definition

কোনো কিছু শুরু থেকে শেষ পর্যন্ত যতক্ষণ স্থায়ী হয়, সেই সময়কালই হলো এর স্থিতিকাল।

Usage Notes (Bengali)

আধিকারিক বা বৈজ্ঞানিক প্রেক্ষাপটে বেশি ব্যবহার হয়। 'for the duration of', 'short duration', 'duration of the meeting' প্রভৃতি বাক্যে দেখা যায়। 'period' শব্দটির সাথে গুলিয়ে ফেলা যাবে না।

Examples

The movie's duration is two hours.

ছবিটির **স্থিতিকাল** দুই ঘণ্টা।

The duration of the meeting will be one hour.

সভার **স্থিতিকাল** এক ঘণ্টা হবে।
