هي صيغة -ing من "drop". تُستخدم لوصف شيء يسقط، أو ينخفض، أو يُترك من مكان أعلى إلى مكان أدنى.

Usage Notes (Arabic)

تُستخدم كثيرًا في الأزمنة المستمرة مثل: 'The price is dropping.' ويمكن أن تأتي أيضًا قبل الأسماء مثل 'dropping temperatures'. لا تخلط بينها وبين 'dropping by' أو 'dropping off' لأنهما عبارتان فعليتان بمعنيين مختلفين.
