Definition

よだれを無意識に垂らすこと。たいていはお腹が空いていたり、眠かったり、注意がそれたときによく起こる。強い欲望を表現する比喩にも使う。

Usage Notes (Japanese)

“Drool”はややくだけた表現で、赤ちゃんや動物、食べ物や欲しい物に夢中な人に使う。'drool over'で「ほしがってたまらない」意味にも。フォーマルな場には不向き。
