Definition

धीरे-धीरे गिरने वाली छोटी बूँदें या बूँद-बूँद गिरने की क्रिया। हर गिरने वाली बूँद को भी कहते हैं।

Usage Notes (Hindi)

आमतौर पर पानी या अन्य तरल के धीरे-धीरे गिरने के लिए कहा जाता है। संज्ञा या तीसरे व्यक्ति क्रिया दोनों हो सकता है ('नल टपकता है')।

The ice melts and drips onto the floor.

बर्फ़ पिघलती है और ज़मीन पर **टपकता है**।
