夢は寝ている間に見る映像や感じること、または人生で叶えたいと強く思う目標や願いです。

Usage Notes (Japanese)

「夢」は名詞・動詞両方で使えます。'American dream'（アメリカンドリーム）、'sweet dreams'（おやすみのあいさつ）などの表現にも登場。睡眠中の夢と人生目標の両方を指します。「空想（daydream）」とは異なります。

I had a strange dream last night.
