トンボは長くて細い体、大きくて透明な羽が2対あり、大きな目を持つ昆虫です。水辺で素早く飛んでいるのをよく見かけます。

「トンボ」はこの昆虫だけを指し、「カワトンボ」とは区別します。科学的にも日常でも使います。複数形はありません。
