Definition

寮は、多くの学生が一緒に住んで寝るための建物や大きな部屋で、主に学校や大学のキャンパス内にあります。

Usage Notes (Japanese)

「寮（りょう）」は学生用の宿舎を指し、一般のアパートには使いません。カジュアルに「ドミトリー」とも呼ばれますが、英語の“dorm”ほどは省略されません。
