Definition

الوصف هو كلام يبيّن كيف يكون شخص أو شيء أو مكان أو موقف. وهو يقدّم تفاصيل عن الشكل أو الصفات أو الخصائص أو ما يحدث.

Usage Notes (Arabic)

يستعمل كثيرًا مع أفعال مثل 'give' و'write' و'fit': 'give a description' و'write a description' و'fit the description'. وهو أكثر رسمية ودقة من 'comment' أو 'idea'. لا تخلط بينه وبين 'definition': فـ 'description' يقدّم تفاصيل، بينما 'definition' يشرح المعنى.
