무엇인가를 공식적으로, 분명하게, 또는 공개적으로 발표하거나 선언하는 것. 또한 세관이나 세무 당국에 공식적으로 신고할 때도 사용된다.

Usage Notes (Korean)

주로 공식적, 법적 상황에서 사용됨. '전쟁을 선언하다', '독립을 선언하다', '수입을 신고하다' 등에서 쓴다. '말하다'보다 격식있다.
