南アジア発祥の料理で、肉や野菜をスパイスで煮込み、よくご飯と一緒に食べるもの。スパイスミックス自体を指すこともある。

Usage Notes (Japanese)

英語では「curry」は料理にもスパイスにも使う言葉です。『Indian curry』『Thai curry』など種類が多いです。料理は可算名詞（a curry）、スパイスは不可算名詞（some curry powder）です。
