「現在の」は今起きている、または存在していることを表します。また、水や空気、電気が一方向に動いている「流れ」の意味でも使われます。

Usage Notes (Japanese)

形容詞「現在の」は「current situation」「current job」などによく使います。名詞の「流れ」は水や空気、「電流」は電気に使います。「actual」（実際の）と混同しないようにしましょう。
