Definition

एक लंबी, हरी सब्ज़ी जिसकी चमड़ी कठोर और अंदर का हिस्सा जलीय होता है, अक्सर सलाद में कच्चा खाया जाता है या अचार बनाने में इस्तेमाल होता है।

Usage Notes (Hindi)

आमतौर पर सलाद या सैंडविच में कच्चा खाते हैं, पकाते नहीं, बस अचार में इस्तेमाल होता है। अंग्रेज़ी मुहावरा 'cool as a cucumber' बहुत शांत होने के लिए है, हिंदी में ऐसा मुहावरा नहीं है। इसे तोरई या zucchini से न मिलाएँ।
