কোনো সমাজ, ক্ষেত্র, বা কর্মকান্ডে প্রচলিত বা গৃহীত কোনো নিয়ম বা পদ্ধতি বোঝাতে, অথবা একই আগ্রহের লোকদের বড় ধরনের ফরমাল সভা বোঝাতে ব্যবহৃত হয়।

Usage Notes (Bengali)

'by convention' মানে সাধারণত প্রচলিতভাবে/রীতি অনুযায়ী। 'annual convention' মানে বাৎসরিক সম্মেলন। 'naming convention'-এ ফাইল বা তথ্যের নামকরণের নিয়ম বোঝায়। বক্তব্যে প্রথা ভাঙার ক্ষেত্রে 'break convention' ব্যবহার হয়।
