地球上のアフリカやアジア、ヨーロッパなど、海で区切られた大きな陸地。

Usage Notes (Japanese)

複数形で使い、「the seven continents」など地理でよく使われます。「continent」は単数形。「国」や「島」と混同しないようにしましょう。
