أن تسأل شخصاً، خاصة خبيراً، للحصول على معلومات أو نصيحة أو إرشاد قبل اتخاذ قرار.

Usage Notes (Arabic)

أكثر رسمية من 'ask' وغالباً تستخدم مع المختصين ('consult a doctor/محام'). غالباً تأتي مع 'with' أو 'about': 'consult with a specialist'. الاسم 'consultation' يعني موعد للمشورة. لا تستعمل مع غير المختصين.
