Definition

指揮官たちは、軍隊や警察組織などで部隊を率いる上級のリーダーです。場合によっては非軍事組織のリーダーにも使われます。

Usage Notes (Japanese)

主に軍・警察などのリーダーに使われます。組織の責任者にも稀に使われます。「field commanders（現場指揮官）」のような表現もあります。「commander in chief（最高司令官）」とは別です。必ず複数形です。
