शहर बड़े शहरी क्षेत्र होते हैं जहाँ बहुत से लोग रहते और काम करते हैं। इनमें आमतौर पर बहुत सी इमारतें, सड़कें, सेवाएँ और व्यापार होते हैं, और ये गाँव या छोटे कस्बों से बड़े होते हैं।

Usage Notes (Hindi)

यह 'city' का बहुवचन है। आम प्रयोग हैं: 'big cities', 'capital cities', 'city life' और 'live in the city'। 'citys' नहीं लिखते; जिन शब्दों के अंत में consonant + 'y' हो, उनका plural आमतौर पर '-ies' बनता है।
