Definition

「引用」は文章内で情報源を示すこと。また、交通違反などで発行される公式な切符や通知も指します。

学術文脈では、出典の明記を指します（APA、MLAなどの書式）。米国では交通違反の切符にも使います。「quotation」は原文そのもの、「citation」は出典表記です。
