本や物語などの長い文章を分ける主要な区切りが「章」です。それぞれの章は異なる内容や話の部分に焦点を当てます。

Usage Notes (Japanese)

「章」は主に本や教科書、物語に使います。人生の新しい段階を比喩的に「新しい章」と表現することもあります。短い文章には使いません。単数形は「章」です。

Examples

There are ten chapters in this book.

この本には十の**章**があります。

She read three chapters last night.

彼女は昨晩、三つの**章**を読みました。

Each of the chapters has a title.

それぞれの**章**にはタイトルがあります。

The first few chapters are a bit slow, but it gets exciting later.
