Definition

あざとは、ぶつけたり転んだりして皮膚の下の血管が壊れ、皮膚の表面にできる青紫色の跡のことです。

Usage Notes (Japanese)

'あざ'は傷やすり傷ではなく、打撲やぶつけた時にできるものです。「ひどいあざ」「新しいあざ」「治る」などの表現とよく使います。
