レンガは、壁やさまざまな構造物を建てるために使われる、通常粘土やコンクリートでできた長方形のブロックです。時には、しっかりしたものや信頼できる人を意味することもあります。

「レンガ」は複数使うことが多く、建材を指します。1つの場合は「レンガ1個」と言います。「レンガ積み」「レンガ造り」「赤レンガ」などで使われ、「ブロック」とは大きさや用途が異なります。
