物事の終わりや範囲を定める境界や限界。物理的な境界だけでなく、規則や可能性など抽象的な限界にも使う。

多くは複数形（the bounds of）で使われ、形式的な語。'know no bounds'（限りがない）など形容詞的意味が多い。'bounce'（跳ねる）と混同しないでください。
