Definition

小さく丸い、または形のはっきりしない柔らかいかたまりや、しみ、点。特に液体ややわらかい物に使われる表現です。

Usage Notes (Japanese)

『blob』はカジュアルな表現で、ペンキ、インク、ゼリーなど柔らかくて丸っこい物に使われます。固い物には使いません。『a blob of paint』のような表現に使われることが多いです。
