'below' अक्सर 'be' और 'fall' जैसे verbs के बाद और numbers से पहले आता है: 'The temperature is below zero.' जगह बताने में 'below', 'under' से ज़्यादा सामान्य है; 'under' में अक्सर ढके होने या सीधे संपर्क का भाव होता है। लिखित अंग्रेज़ी में 'see below' भी बहुत आम है।
