「信じる」の古い言い方で、宗教的な文章や古典的な詩などに使われます。何か、または誰かを信じる意味です。

Usage Notes (Japanese)

現代日本語では使いません。聖書や古典文学の翻訳で時代を感じさせる場面限定です。普段は「信じる/信ずる」を使います。
