해변은 바다나 강, 호수 옆에 위치한 모래나 자갈이 깔린 곳으로, 사람들이 수영하거나 쉬거나 일광욕을 즐기는 곳입니다.

주로 바닷가 모래사장을 의미합니다. 'go to the beach', 'on the beach', 'beach towel' 등과 함께 자주 쓰입니다. 'coast'나 'shore'와는 다른 단어입니다.
