選挙や意思決定の際に使われる投票用の紙や方法。また、投票の行為そのものも指します。

Usage Notes (Japanese)

主に公式な選挙や投票で使われます。「cast a ballot（投票する）」「ballot box（投票箱）」「secret ballot（秘密投票）」などの表現でよく使われます。カジュアルなアンケートには使いません。
