演劇や映画、ショーの役を得るために短いパフォーマンスをして実力を見せること。

Usage Notes (Japanese)

主に演劇や音楽、ダンスなどの芸能分野で使う表現。「auditioning for」は「〜のオーディションを受ける」と訳す。一般の就職面接には使いません。
