किसी भूमिका, काम या प्रस्तुति के लिए अपनी अभिनय, गाना या नृत्य की क्षमता जजों के सामने आज़माना।

Usage Notes (Hindi)

अक्सर प्रदर्शन कला (नाटक, संगीत, नृत्य) में प्रयोग होता है। 'audition' का भूतकाल है। इसमें 'auditioned for a role' का अर्थ है– किसी भूमिका के लिए ऑडिशन दिया। सामान्य नौकरियों के लिए प्रयोग नहीं होता।
