人や物が興味を持ったり、近づいたりするように仕向けること。通常、魅力的だと感じる場合に使う。

人、物、場所などが他の人や物の興味を引く時によく使う。よく使う表現：'attract attention', 'attract customers', 'attract insects'。文脈によって恋愛的意味にもなるが、単独ではその意味はない。
