新聞や雑誌、ウェブサイトに載る文章、または英語の文法で「a」「an」「the」など名詞の前に付く小さな言葉。

日常会話では「記事」を指すことが多いです。文法用語として使うときは「冠詞（a/an/the）」です。'essay'や 'report' とは意味が違うので注意しましょう。
