何かの周囲にいることや動くこと、または時間や数のおおよそを表す時に使います。

Usage Notes (Japanese)

'walk around'や'look around'のように動作を表す動詞とよく使う。'around 5 o’clock'のように約の意味でも使える。'round'とは少しニュアンスが異なる。

I looked around but couldn’t find my phone.
