Definition

陸上で戦うために訓練された兵士たちの大きな組織。国家の軍隊を指すことが多いですが、大きな目的を持った集団にも使います。

Usage Notes (Japanese)

主に陸上自衛隊や外国の陸軍に使われますが、「an army of volunteers」のように比喩的にも使います。海軍や空軍には使いません。
