주로 생물학이나 의학 분야에서 사용되며('human anatomy', 'study anatomy'), 비유적으로 어떤 사물이나 현상의 구조를 설명할 때도 씁니다('the anatomy of a problem'). '부검(autopsy)' 의미로는 사용하지 않습니다. 공식적이고 학문적인 상황에서 쓰입니다.
