কেউ যখন খুব অশান্ত, চিন্তিত বা শান্ত থাকতে পারে না তখন তাকে উত্তেজিত বলা হয়।

'get agitated', 'become agitated' এ শব্দটি ব্যবহার করা হয়। এই শব্দটি সহজ 'চিন্তিত' বা 'উদ্বিগ্ন' থেকে অনেক বেশি দৃশ্যমান অশান্তির কথা বোঝায়।
