رسالة أو إشعار مصمم للترويج لمنتج أو خدمة أو حدث، وغالباً ما يظهر في التلفزيون أو الإنترنت أو الصحف.

'Advertisement' غالبًا ما يُختصر إلى 'ad' بالإنجليزية غير الرسمية. يُستخدم 'commercial' للإعلانات التلفزيونية/الإذاعية. في العربية 'إعلان' كلمة شاملة للإعلانات بجميع وسائل الإعلام.
