Bir sorunu ya da konuyu ele alma; ayrıca bir kişiye veya gruba doğrudan hitap etme.

Genelde resmi ortamlarda (iş, sunum vb.) kullanılır. 'addressing an issue' sorun çözmek, 'addressing the audience' topluluğa hitap etmek demektir. 'address' (adres) ile karıştırmayın.
