何かに別のものを加えることを「追加」と言います。数学では「足し算」であり、日常では新しい部屋や人など、加わったものを指します。

Usage Notes (Japanese)

数学用語としては『足し算』を、日常や物理的な追加の場合は『追加』を使います。『addition to the team』は『チームへの追加』の意味で使います。
