किसी चीज़ को ज़ोर-ज़बरदस्ती या बहुत प्रयास से छीनना, अक्सर प्रतिरोध के खिलाफ। कभी-कभी कठिन हालात में नियंत्रण पाने के लिए भी इस्तेमाल होता है।

यह शब्द औपचारिक और साहित्यिक है, सामान्य बातचीत में कम मिलता है। अक्सर 'wrest control', 'wrest power', 'wrest the title' जैसे वाक्यांशों में आता है। इसे 'wrestle' (कुश्ती) से न मिलाएँ।
