用強力或極大努力從某人或某事奪走某物,通常是在對抗的情況下。有時也指在困難情況下獲得控制權。
Usage Notes (Chinese (Traditional))
較正式且較具文學色彩,日常會話中不常見。常見組合有“wrest control”、“wrest power”、“wrest the title”。不要與“wrestle”(摔角、搏鬥)混淆。
