Definition

무언가에 전선을 연결하여 전기를 공급하거나 신호를 보내게 하다. 기기들을 전선으로 연결하거나 배선을 설치하는 것도 의미할 수 있다.

Usage Notes (Korean)

비공식·기술적 맥락에서 많이 사용. 전기 배선에 주로 씀. 수동형('was wired up')이 잦음. 무선 연결은 해당 안 됨. 가끔은 사람에게 기기를 연결하는 의미로도 씀(거짓말탐지기 등).
