布やペーパータオルなどで液体や汚れを表面から拭き取ること。

Usage Notes (Japanese)

主に台所や掃除の場面でよく使われます。液体やこぼれたものを拭くイメージです。「wipe off」とは違い、特に何かをこぼした時に使われます。
