若い女性、特に宿や酒場で働く女性を指す、今では失礼とされる古風な言葉です。主に歴史劇や冗談として使われます。

現代では実際の女性に使うと非常に失礼です。歴史劇やファンタジー、パロディなど特定場面でだけ使われます。
