একটি দল বা সংগ্রহ থেকে অবাঞ্ছিত মানুষ বা জিনিস নির্বাচন করে বাদ দেওয়া। প্রায়ই বিস্তারিত খতিয়ে দেখে করা হয়।

'weed out' প্রায়ই অফিস, শিক্ষা বা সংগঠনের পরিবেশে ব্যবহার হয়। 'weed out candidates', 'weed out errors' ইত্যাদি শব্দসমষ্টি কাজে লাগে।
