Fazer um buraco em algo, geralmente tecido ou material, por causa do uso repetido ou fricção ao longo do tempo.

Usada principalmente para roupas ou tecidos gastos (meias, joelhos, cotovelos). Não usar para itens rompidos por acidente. Bastante comum na voz passiva: 'My socks wore through.' Expressão informal e descritiva.
