待つ

Definition

誰かが来るまで、あるいは何かが起きるまで、その場所で行動せずにいること。

「wait for」は人や物の前で使います（例: 'wait for the bus'）。カジュアルに「for」を省略することもありますが、正式な使い方ではありません。

Please wait for me at the door.
